ABSTRACT

Educators use standardized tests to assess children's ability to learn from other disciplines, such as neuroscience. By looking at this data, we can better understand how kids process and learn data and their ability to learn. This allows us to provide home and school support and specialized learning techniques. A child's development goes through stages from birth to adulthood. Children's growth and development are influenced by numerous factors, including their environment, genetics, and their culture. Kids find it difficult to express themselves, let alone examine their emotions. The field of child psychology can offer vital insight into this situation. Children's development is one of the ultimate goals of these professionals, who aim to improve parenting, child care, education, and psychotherapy by using that knowledge. Psychological and educational variables are removed to understand and research children's education. The modified support vector machine (SVM) method extracts information to predict whether educational and psychological factors influence a child's education. The research work is analyzed in a Java simulation environment, which proves that psychoanalysis based on MSVM has a stronger influence on children's studies.

ABSTRACT

The current study aims to investigate social and pedagogical relations during the experience of distance learning in emergencies, in the context of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. The study identifies the impact of the transition towards this new system in rebuilding social and pedagogical links between professors and students through a case study at Ajman University, as one of the institutions of higher education in the United Arab Emirates. The study relied on the quantitative approach and the sample of the study consisted of (730) students selected in a simple random manner. The study found that most of the sample members had advanced infrastructure that would enable them to keep up with the transition to the distance learning system, and that the level of access to electronic tools and distance learning platforms and the ability to deal with them were high. The study also found that the distance learning system increases the level of interaction, discussion and communication between students and between students and teachers, which extends beyond the lesson period, as an attempt to replace direct interaction. © 2023 NSP Natural Sciences Publishing Cor.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Tocilizumab (TCZ), a humanized monoclonal antibody directed against interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptors, has been tried in various studies as a Covid-19 therapy with controversial results. Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of adding TCZ to standard care (SC) in critical Covid-19 patients. Methods: it was designed retrospectively as a comparative study on two paired series of critical patients affected with Covid-19: the 1st group received TCZ plus SC versus a 2nd group which received only SC. The matching criteria were age, sex and severity score and the matching was based on the propensity score matching (PSM) by the nearest neighbor. Outcomes were: survival, mechanical ventilation (MV) and nosocomial infections. Results: Ninety patients were included by pairing estimated successful (PSM > 0.5 in more than 50% in each group for all matching criteria). 55.5% of SC group progressed to stage 3-acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) versus 31% of TCZ+SC patients (p=0.03). No effect of TCZ was found on mortality (49% in each group, p=1) nor on MV use (p=0.67). ICU stay was more prolonged in TCZ+SC group (16 versus 8 days, p <10-3). The administration of TCZ induced a significant decrease in CRP but not changed the IL-6 dosage. Nosocomial infections occurred in 18 (40%) of TCZ+SC group comparatively to 15 (33,5%) of SC group, p=0.66. Conclusion: Tocilizumab reduced the risk of progression to severe ARDS probably due to its immune-modulating properties. But no beneficial effect was found on survival or on the use of ventilation.

ABSTRACT

Covid-19 pandemic was associated to fear among patients, doctors and nurses, it was responsible of a work impairment in health structures organisation. All patients were at home, only Covid patients were at hospital. Our country has a quick reaction, we declared the pandemic as a social disease with free management. All hospital had the order to create their own Covid-19 circuit. We report the experience of our hospital in the crisis management with the creation of the circuit, its organisation, the management of the different financial, technical, human, sanitary, psychological and logistical aspects. The great point of this crisis was the fear, stress of caregivers for themselves and their families. The other point for members of Covid Cell was the race against time, the learning of a new job: a manager or a polyvalent chief. The presence of a Covid-19 circuit is necessary for each hospital at the epidemic time but it must be managed by infectious diseases doctors, lung specialists, intensive care givers and emergency room caregivers in collaboration. An enhancement of the structures is necessary at the level of medical wards and beds of intensive care. © 2020, Maison du Medicine. All rights reserved.
